Fractional Chief Revenue Officer

What's a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)?
A fractional CRO is a professional that helps you develop and implement strategies that will drive revenue growth and optimize your revenue generation operations. This is a strategic role that focuses on the nexus of sales, marketing and customer service/success teams to help make sure your Company doesn't leave any revenue on the table.

Why do you need a CRO?

To be honest, not every Company needs a CRO! However, as you begin to move beyond founder-led sales and begin looking for a more repeatable revenue-generation process, a CRO may be extremely helpful. Over time, Founders and CEOs need to focus on more strategic issues and not the nitty-gritty of sales, marketing and service.

What does a CRO do?

The short answer is, a CRO - or Fractional CRO - helps to orient your client-facing teams around the prime objective of revenue growth.

Project Pre-Mortems

What is a Pre-Mortem? It sounds morbid...

A pre-mortem is not morbid at all - in fact, it's intended to avoid negative consequences!  Basically, it's a project planning technique that can be used to identify potential problems, risks, and roadblocks a project might face before the project starts. One vital element of the process is to identify ways that those risks can be mitigated in advance, and then continually updated through the life of hte project.

Why conduct a pre-mortem exercise?

A pre-mortem can proactively identify risks and problems that could derail your project and cause it to fail. In fact, one of the key tools we use at Aebacus is to start by imagining that a project has failed and then working backwards.

Foresight is 20-20!

What are the benefits of conducting a pre-mortem?

  1. It can proactively manage your risks

  2. It keeps you humble and reduces overconfidence

  3. It can improve communication and teamwork

  4. It can bring hidden risks or 'unknown unknowns' to light

  5. It can reinforce a culture of deliberate enthusiasm and preparation
